Gillette Group ISP Division
The Gillette Group ISP Division comprises the largest privately held ISP’s in Trinidad and Tobago. This is, not only because the Group owns three out of the five ISP’s but also because their combined customer base comprises approximately 40% of the Internet population in Trinidad and Tobago.

The Gillette group ISP Division is the leading private Internet Service Provider in Trinidad and Tobago. Jointly the three ISP’s have leveraged advanced Internet technologies available today to provide both its corporate and individual customers with a wide range of services. The collective expertise available in the ISP division combined with the expertise derived from the Gillette Group has made it the strongest player in this niche.

 

CARIB-LINK’S HISTORY

Since its inception in 1996 Carib-link is the only ISP in Trinidad and Tobago to have rolled out the new age technology in the Internet space in Trinidad and Tobago. Carib-Link has consistently and in Internet time brought to the market place the latest and the best in Internet technology.

INTERSERV’S HISTORY

Interserv was the first ISP to become established in Trinidad and Tobago (“T&T”), being set up in Nov 1995 and acquired by the Group in June 1997. Interserv is perceived be the mass provider of dial up Internet services to the individual or residential market.

 

CABLENETT’S HISTORY

CableNett was set-up in December of 1996, the CableNett vision was to launch a brand that in time would be distributed over the Cable infrastructure then owned by the Gillette Group. CableNett seems to have been positioned as the more affordable alternative for those persons whose Internet needs are limited and basic.

 

The three ISP’s that belong to this group in conjunction with other sister companies such as Open Telecom and Computers and Controls, provides high-speed wireless Internet Services marketed under the brand name PROXIMITY, to a large number of businesses within Trinidad & Tobago. The ISP Division is also delivering large Wide Area Network solutions for businesses for various types of services i.e. data transfer, centralizing operations, centralizing point of sale systems, VOIP, Remote Video surveillance.
